Served in stemmed pint. Poured a very dark brown with with less than a half-inch of tan head that had good retention and lace.
Lots of roast/coffee in the nose, even though I don't think the beer had coffee in it. But, I didn't ask either. There was also a low grain scent, and just hints of floral/earthy hops.
Pretty similar on the tongue, and the oats listed really showed on the palate, where they didn't on the nose.
The body was smooth and even, with a semi-dry finish.
Drinkability was very nice, although the coffee-ish aspect was wearing on me a bit by the end. Overall, a nice brew, certainly worth trying if you see it.
