16oz can (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solid (just a hint of translucence) black color with an inch of tan head that had good retention and no lacing.
Roast notes popped right out when I cracked the can, and were dominant in the glass. Underneath, a touch of base grain and some earthy hops.
Similar on the tongue, with a notable chocolate aspect as well.
The body was light and crisp, smooth, carried good carb, and had a medium-dry finish.
Drinkability was pretty good, I could see knocking back a few pints of this.
Overall, a very nice take on the style. Worth a shot if you see it.
