16oz can

Pours over a finger of white head into my Willi. Retention is below average and the head completely disappears within a couple minutes. Lacing is nonexistent. Body is cloudy and orange, certainly a lighter bock. Not very good looking, especially for a wheat beer.

Nose has some banana and a nice vanilla creaminess. Definitely some sweetness as well, though it doesn’t seem cloying. Smells quite nice.

Yeah this basically just tastes like a vamped up Weizen, significant banana. Definitely on the lighter end of the style, not super heavy on the malt. Not extremely complex, but it tastes very nice for what it is.

Carbonation is pretty high. Body is medium. Well attenuated, any residual sugar is appropriate. Bitterness is low but present. It’s nice mouthfeel that isn’t cloying at all.

Drinkability is wonderful.

Overall a really nice and flavorful beer.

Pours a beautiful bright orange with an almost glowing aura surrounding it in the light. A really decent white foamy head rises and falls to a thin white ring after a few sips. Nose is baked bread and honey with some floral and herbal qualities as well as lemon rind and a tinge of bitterness on the finish. Taste follows suit with a sweeter than expected biscuit flavor followed by some earthy herbal notes in addition to tart citrus and finishing with an almost fermented honey taste. Feel is smooth and rich but a nice carbonation bite finishes it in a refreshing manner.

overall, I feel like this is really one of the best beers I’ve had in a while. I really can’t believe it’s 7.2% because it drinks much smaller than that. I don’t know anything about this style but I feel as though it must be well done. I don’t typically go to 4.25 but I think this deserves it across the board.

Pours a bright gold with a clear transparency. Head is two fingers of off-white foam. Aroma is bread, nuts, banana, clove, and grassy, zesty, earthy hops. It's bright, with sweet undertones. Flavor profile leans back into bread, nuts, banana, clove, and earthy, zesty, grassy hops. Yeast phenols add a little more zestiness to the flavor profile than the aroma. As a whole, it leans into mild sweetness. Mouth feel is fuzzy velvet all the way through. Thickness is medium. Overall, really refreshing. It has a consistent texture froms tart to stop, bringing with it a mildy sweet, and plenty playful, aroma and flavor profile.

Served in a 15.5oz Spiegelau tulip from a 16oz can.

Relatively ugly dirty orange but with plenty of fizzy head and decent retention. Initial aroma struck me as sour, which didn't make any sense. Closer inspection reveals banana & clove with plenty of yeast, but it still smells somewhat sour. Thankfully none of that sour vibe carried over to the taste, which is a nice blend of yeast, wheat and banana. Somewhat undercarbonated on the tongue. Good easy drinking beer.

Piles of long-lasting foam and slightly cloudy in the Stella Artois goblet. Lush carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. Quite sweet and malty with notes of caramel and fruitcake. Vast aroma of clove and banana but so much more mellow than many German-inspired wheat beers.

This used to be one of my favorite styles, but seemingly prone to infections back in the day. Surprisingly strong and highly sippable with the fragrant nose with every sip. From the 16 oz can purchased from Community Coop. No date. Collaboration with Wayfinder of Portland.

Pours a hazy burnt orange color with a fluffy white head per the style. Beautiful beer. The nose has all that estery goodness the best weizenbocks feature as well as some clove and banana. I’m salivating.

The taste has all that estery goodness as well, with some banana and more of the clove at the back of the palate. The mouthfeel is very full and a bit spritzy, again per the style.

I’m drinking this on a chilly fall evening in Northern Indiana and this beer is a perfect sipper. I could drink this until it came out my ears.

Served in half-litre mug. Poured a fully murky dark orange color with 3/4 inch of white head that had moderate retention and lacing.

A nice wheat base supported a strong yeast scent, with a touch of banana.

Similar on the tongue, but bolder and more forward.

The body was full, smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish.

Drinkability was very nice, I foresee having a few more of these.

Overall, a nice take on the style. Worth grabbing if you see it.
