Slight haze on the amber beer in the Blanche de Chambly goblet. Aromatic with the usual spice. More of the spice than necessary, in my opinion. Sweet at first, then more dry with the Belgian yeast. Malty flavors with cereal and a long nose of dried pear. Lush and sudsy mouthfeel. Quite drinkable, if a bit intense. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Who's that on the label? Zippy the bivalve?

A 16oz pour in a 20oz nonic. Poured a very cloudy yellow color (nowhere near white) color with over an inch of white head that had OK retention and lacing.
The aroma had a very nice grain base, the softness of the wheat was pleasant, with some very light hops. There was none of the expected orange peel and coriander. The yeast spiciness was interesting as well.
The flavor profile was very similar, just more muted than the aroma.
The body was fuller than typical for the style, smooth, carried good carbonation, and had a medium finish.
Drinkability was fine, I'd have another on a warm day.
Overall, a pleasant beer that is somewhat atypical for the style. worth a shot if you see it.
