From an undated 16oz can. The base stout is roasty, with lots of bakers chocolate and a hint of bitter char at the back end. The coffee addition comes across as smooth and dark roasted. The mouthfeel is full and creamy. Very nice stout that is hitting the spot, thanks Ryan!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque in the glass with a half finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, coffee, lactose and cocoa. Flavor follows with dark toasted malt, strong drip coffee with cream and bakers chocolate; coffee grounds and dry chocolate finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Whoa, this is one of the most coffee forward stouts I've had; more like a nice strong cup of joe with cream with some stout added rather than the other way around. And it pulls it off, the stout base seems mellow, but supports the coffee well, leaning to a robust dry English stout profile. The coffee is authentic and rich tasting and although dominant is well enough balanced with the malt character. One would really have to like coffee to enjoy it; I liked this one. Well done. Although this was entered as (2022) entry, the can design, ABV and exact description for this 2024 version is the same as that year's stout; I'd suggest renaming the early, lower ABV version as (2017) and simply rename this as No Sleep since the brewery seems to have settled on a formula.

Appearance: Pours onyx colored with a beige head that drops from a finger to a collar while leaving dots of lacing
Smell: Roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee tones
Taste: The roast, the chocolate and the coffee all make powerful moves to the forefront with considerable sweetness building; sweetened dark coffee in the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Smells better than it tastes as there is nothing subtle in the flavor profile of this brew
