Can from Uptown Market.

A deep orange with a dense, off-white head. The nose has a nice fresh hop character, spicy, rich and dank with a real grapefruit zest character. The palate opens bitter and clean, oily and pithy. Loads of grapefruit juice and zest. Drying, oily, dank finish. Somewhat disjointed on the mid-palate.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, orange, grapefruit and a hint of pine. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and piney hops with some dankness, grapefruit, lemon and pine. Assertive citrus rind hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. As expected from the Amarillo and Citra hops used, a very citrus forward fresh hop. Grapefruit is the dominant flavor, but hints of lemon and orange too, as well as some solid pine that develops towards and into the finish. Solid finishing bitterness that may be the most assertive this year (to my delight). Somewhat simple in hop herbals, but has the ones I want in a West Coast and great finish.
