Pours a slightly hazy amber with plenty of foam in the Copper Kettle goblet. Aroma of alfalfa and green tea. Sudsy and sharp on the tongue. This is quite hoppy, actually nothing but hops, no malt taste. It has has the herbal, green, fresh hop sort of flavor. Resiny finish with substantial bitterness. This is just extremely hopped up, and only the ABV would lead me to consider this anything but an IPA.
The label is a little fishy. Besides the gov't warning the only words are "West Coast Pale Ale." No name of the brewery (just a little logo), no address, no ABV, no container size, no date. Purchased at Elizabeth Station; looks like a 16 oz can.
