Sour Farmhouse Ale brewed with Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces and conditioned on Plums. A Pattern Language is assertively dry, effervescent, and tart. Flavors of plum skin, juicy nectarine, and tart Riesling grape are supported by brisk carbonation and an bright, dry finish.

The beer pours a some what hazy Straw Yellow with a medium white head. It has medium carbonation. The beer smells of white pepper, banana clove, plum skins, hay, and brett Funk. It tastes of white peppers, hay, brett Funk, and subtle plum. The feel is medium light, and clean. A solid Saison, but the plum is very faint.

Picked up at Julio's and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps and a thin halo.

S - Aromas of light plums, good brett funk. Really floral plums, light tartness, maybe a light juicy plum notes. Light almost lemon characters.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, loads of bready yeast notes, some nice lacto creamy notes, flashes of subtle plums. Somewhat one note.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little crisp, flemmy finish though.

O - Overall this was a rather underwhelming beer from Honest Weight considering how pleasant the nose was. Really expected more plums and less bready yeast.

Thanks to rudzud
Light fizzy head little lacing, fairly hazy golden color

Nose farmhouse, little funky saison, little fruity stone fruit almost apricot and plum but perfumey plum too, little sour lacto and mild funky Brett

Taste more stone fruit little apricot like but plenty of juicy plum fruity, little saison butt a but flat on the saison, little tart very little acidity, little bready, no real funk, no spices, no malt, flemmy creamy lacto finish

Mouth is a bit thinner, lighter carb too, flemmy finish

Overall meh, some decent plum but the rest of the beer is bland and missing a lot

Poured from a 500 ml bottle "brewed on 8/2/2017" Bottled on 11/28/17 into the test glass
A - Slightly hazy, muted gold color, Determined carbonation stacks up the nice white cap
S - Sweet grain, plums for sure, ripe fruit not the skin, notes of white peach and hint orange from hops maybe.
T - Wheat, a very fruity plum thread, some nice minerality , in the vein of Alsace wine. The mineral taste, and the mixed culture fermentation keep the fruit in excellent balance
M - Soft on the palate, an initial sweet start, the body is medium and the carbonation is gentle. With a bit of time the body is almost meringue like .
O - An excellent offering from talented brewers, The use of plum is not overplayed, the grain bill is light and complimentary. Mixed culture fermentation is deftly applied. Very well done by the folks at Honest Weight
