Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a three finger off-white head with great retention and nice lacing; looks good. Aroma of caramel and biscuit malt, citrus hops, toffee, orange and lemon. Flavor is pale malt, citrus and piney hops, grapefruit, lemon, pine and a little dankness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A solidly bitter hoppy IPA, but although it has good lingering pine and citrus rind in the finish, seems to have somewhat stark hop flavors. The malt has both dry caramel and biscuit character in the aroma, but the malt taste is bland. I liked the citrus and pine profile, but seems a little unbalanced. A satisfactory, but not compelling IPA. Looks great.
