Look: Pale straw yellow. Pours with an enormous 3 finger white head. The head pops and fizzles like soda pop as it quickly disappears leaving a few bubbles on the top. The look and head remind me of gingerale.

Smell: Sour grape smell. I'm not picking up any pineapple. Very white grape like.

Taste: Very tart and sour. Pucker up on the front end, where it is overwhelmingly sugary. I do pick up pineapple in the taste, but lots of grape almost like a Chardonnay wine mixed with gingerale, wiht a pineapple slice thrown in for garnish. It has a bit of earthy lemon taste that is nice on the back end.

Feel: Sugary, and highly carbonated. Very soda like. Sour beers are definately not my thing, so for me this earns a C. Judging it on the style and not my personal biases, it probably earns a B-

473 mL can from the LCBO; no canning date. Served barely chilled.

Pours hazy but translucent, with a pale lemondrop yellow-coloured body that sports an inch-thick cap of soapy, sparkling white foam. It fizzles off within sixty seconds or so, leaving the surface rather barren - a patchy islet of film and paper thin collar are the only survivors. Just a little tart on the nose, with sweet pineapple, mild lactic acidity and a touch of funk overlapping with bready, wheaty pale malts.

Plenty of pineapple, not much sour - that's the long and short of this review, as the titular fruit is front and centre, backed by grainy, wheaty pale malts, apples and some bready sweetness. Grassy hops can be noticed later on, with hints of lemony lactic sourness popping up towards the finish... but they're pretty minor, for (what I am presuming to be) a kettle sour, as the aftertaste quickly reverts from tart back to grainy and fruity-sweet. It's a pretty refreshing contrast, actually. Light in body, with moderately lively carbonation that agitates the palate continuously, lending a crisp texture to this fruity sour.

Final Grade: 3.61, a serviceable B grade. Most of Manitoulin's portfolio consists of traditional North American and English styles, making their Endless Summer Pineapple Sour kind of an odd duck out. It's a fine pineapple beer with a bit of a tart nip, but a little straightforward, and I don't know how well that'll go over with the serious sour fanatics - though I suspect it'll do just fine with anyone simply seeking something fruity and light to quench their thirst. Get this seasonal out on shelves by late spring next year, and then keep it coming all summer.
