Leading an outing of The Responsible Beer Drinking Club at Erie Street Gastropub in nearby downtown Windsor; on tap and chilled, 4oz. in a flight of five beers. My 4th beer from the Little Current, Ontario brewery, and 3rd for 2025...

Appearance: Black as night body, half finger of head on pour that did not lace or retain.
Smell: Smoky burnt malt that takes a bit of warming to come out but achieves decent potency . Nothing offensive, but nothing really stands out.
Taste: The malt starts of mildly sweet before it builds more and more of a burnt taste culminating in a smokey snap at the end. I think I catch some notes of vanilla, but after the first drink, that smoke dominates.
Mouthfeel: The transitioning is a slow build to a smoke snap end, so that's probably the best part of it. That smoke leaves an odd dryness in the aftertaste, but it's not unpleasant. Carbonation is there throughout but doesn't really stand out.
Drinkabilty: Just slightly thicker then medium body, easy on the system but the smoke makes this a very slow sipper.
Final Thoughts: This review is a bit curt, and the reason being is this is a very run of the mill offering to my tastes. Apart from that smokey snap, there's nothing here that really stands out. It's not bad, just....well there.
