Packaged on 3/11 - consumed on 4/3. Poured from a tall-boy can into my Bruery tulip.
Described as a "Triple West Coast IPA" brewed with El Dorado, Citra, and Sultana hops.
Amber body with a low off white head receding to a lasting collar and surface slick. Fine, sandy lacing; some tears; decent retention for the ABV.
Dank aromatics with a hit of scallion and urea. Orange zest and tangerine are present but never quite cut through. Maybe a hint of canned pineapple. Sort of like dropping fruit salad into a cat box...
Asian pear, tangerine, a bit of honey, pine, and grapefruit pith on the palate. Moderate herbal/earthy bitterness. Fairly dry finish with hints of cut grass.
Crisp, medium-bodied, slightly oily, and gently warming (ABV well concealed).
If not for the "catty" element (probably from the particular batch of Citra the brewer used?), this would be a decent Imperial IPA, reminiscent of some of Stone's old offerings.
