Let me preface this by saying I don't have a ton of experience with Burtons. This beer pours a hazy golden brown, with a frothy head. The smell is caramel with other hop-based hints. A bitter taste with a caramel profile cleanses the palate. Overall a pretty easy-drinking beer.

Poured from a growler into a shaker pint, the beer is a slightly hazed, caramel coloring, with a low profile, creamy, clingy, off-white head. Aromas of rich caramel, floral hops, hints of tropical fruit and grapefruit sweetness, and a solid bitterness. Flavors are heavily roasted forward, with rich caramel leading the way for the follow of dank and bitter pine resinous hops. Very solid bitter component, with floral hops accents throughout. There is a very solid bitter bite at the end of the palate, with a dry, almost salty and astringent character left on the palate from the hops. Smooth and dry in mouth, the beer has a subtle piney and very bitter aftertaste, again still drying out, as well. The finish is cleaned up rather quickly from the dry and astringent end feel, leaving the palate thirsting for another sip. Very solid Burton IPA.
