11 o'clock in the morning it is the right time for coffee and a porter. Received this beer about two months back and it has been sitting in my fridge waiting for this moment. Served in a pint glass and it is 45 degrees. The pour on the beer produced a huge two finger head. The head is airy and creamy with excellent retention. The head is a light tan and left lacing on the glass. The color the beer is SRM 35 a dark brown used motor oil.
The initial aroma of the beer is dark roasted coffee and char. Next, I get dark roasted malt, a malty sweetness, molasses, toffee, caramel, earthiness, and burnt sugar.
The first flavors I get of the beer is medium roasted coffee and a subtle malty sweetness. Next, I taste molasses, toffee, caramel, earthiness, and burnt sugar, smokiness, and char.
The mouthfeel of the beer is dry and thin.
The body of the beer is medium, medium carbonation, and a medium finish.
The beer is a solid example of a coffee porter. The coffee in the beer is not overpowering and blends well with the porter. It is a tasty beer and very glad I got to drink it.

32 oz crowler, into nonic pint glass
Very dark brown, but not quite black. Off white colored head. Aroma of coffee with sugar and cream. Similar flavors, only mildly roasty. Medium bodied.
