From 11/11/13 notes. Big thanks to jslot38 for grabbing me a growler of their new beer; thanks Justin. 2-3 day old growler, still fresh and carbonated. Poured from a 32 oz. growler into my Bell's tulip.
a - Pours a hazy, orange-amber color with two fingers of fluffy off white head and moderate carbonation evident. Light lacing left on the glass.
s - Smells of yeast, floral hops, bananas, apples, oranges, cloves, spice, citrus hops, and some earthy notes. Nice nose, kind of like a saison with light hefeweizen notes.
t - Tastes of floral hops, bananas, bread, wheat, cloves, yeast, light spice, light oranges, and citrus hops, Taste has a little mor ebread and banana than the nose, and little less citrus. A little more hefeweizen in the taste; I like it a bit better than the nose.
m - Medium body and low carbonation. Pretty creamy and very easy to drink. Great mouthfeel.
o - Overall a very nice and super drinkable beer. It struck me as almost a saison/hefeweizen hybrid, with the nose having more hops and saison-like qualities and the taste having some more bananas and bread/wheat. Very easy to drink the 32 oz. growler and would love to have it again.
