A Street IPA shows off a hazy faded golden orange appearance, and invites you in with the aromas of lemon grass, citrus zest and slight pineapple. Citrus notes continue to the palette, along with cantaloupe and a firm bitterness, to balance this beer. It's medium body and lingering finish leaves a reminder of these delightful Amarillo hops, beckons for another sip.

From a tallboy canned in late May (so 2.5 months old) into a willibecher. Hazy pale orange with one finger tight bright white head, minimal retention and lacing. Nose is red grapefruit, tangerine, lemongrass, wheat. Taste follows the nose…the finish heads toward something a little rind-like bitterness that is kind of raw spice, but not necessarily in a good way. Definitely does not commit the sin of being too sweet; juiciness is interesting and different — maybe to be expected from a beer focused on Amarillo and Columbus. Body is moderate and maybe a little watery; for an NEIPA, the jagged and bitter feel surprises. Maybe this is too old? Dries out toward the end. Not a ton of layers of flavor on this one, but it is pungent. Good but not one of the better Trillium beers I’ve had.

Tastes like tangerine, red grapefruit, orange creamsicle, lemon zest, pineapple, melon, toasted grains, honey, biscuit, tea leaf, coriander, hints of apricot, grassy notes and caramel as it fades. It's very well balanced as the sweet malts counter the hoppy bitterness, keeping each sip complex while masking the ABV. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, fading on the dry side.

First trip to Trillium and I was very excited as my son flew in from Colorado for some brewery excisions. The first try was the A Street and i was not super impressed. The appearance wasn't faded orange but straw - not necessarily a negative but not as advertised. The nose offered the citrus hop background but the palate didn't live up to expectations as it tilted toward some astringency. Quite dry for an IPA I expected to be crushable. The finish was fine.

16 ounce can in a stemmed tulip IPA glass.
Pours a thick murky apricot juice looking liquid with a 1f white cap that drops almost immediately. There’s minimal lacing left inside the glass.
Clean citrus aroma upon opening the can. In the glass the aromas expand as orange, lemon, grapefruit, and pineapple. They’re subtle but present.
Same flavors as in the aroma. They come in a raw bitter form.
It’s thick and chewy, near full bodied. Raw citrus rind bitterness. Sturdy wheat base.
Its raw and thick traits make its juiciness tolerable. Good enough.

Don't believe this is hazy the way other Trillium's are. The hazy claims seem to be overstated. It was relatively clear and light bodied, tasting and feeling more like a Pale Ale than an IPA. It has an interesting, almost floral or fruity flavor that I couldn't put my finger on in my first tasting. Balanced and drinkable, but on the lighter side, which can be refreshing at times.
