An intensified version of Scaled and the latest addition to our line-up of aromatic, juicy IPA's. The secondary dry hop of El Dorado and Citra results in an enhanced nose of citrus, pineapple, and wet earth. The flavor brings intense lime, refreshingly pithy bitterness and just a touch of toasted malt. Medium bodied with a dry finish.

MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, Flaked Wheat, Dextrine, C-15

HOPS: El Dorado, Citra, Columbus

On tap

A- hazy pale orange-yellow, one finger foamy white head

S- citrus forward aroma with grapefruit and tangerine zest, juicy orange. Undertones of mango, guava, melon, pineapple

T- resinous pine up front meets a wave of citrus; zesty grapefruit, tangerine. Mid-palate gives mango, passionfruit and guava. The finish gives more citrus and resinous green hops, a hint of lime on the linger

M- medium body with moderate carbonation, foamy model turns creamy into the finish

A- Pours from the 16oz can into a gueuze glass with a very, very murky and hazy body with a one finger head. The head falls down fairly quickly and lacing is a mix of spottiness and small sheets.

S- Fruity hops, for the most part, with pineapple being particularly forward. Melon, mango, passionfruit, tangerine, grapes and papaya also come to mind.

T- A lot less juicy than the aroma suggested but still pretty fruity and definitely plenty hoppy in the flavor. Melon, pineapple and lime are big but a pretty large floral, berry bitterness takes over midway through the sip and it becomes more herbal and berry than tropical or stone fruit hop forward. A touch of green, raw hop in the finish. Light hint of pale grains and a touch of sweetness.

MF- Right around medium bodied for this style and the texture is really foamy and puffy. A touch of creaminess. The brew has a moderately high level of carbonation and ends with a pretty strong bitterness.

Starts off fairly strong with a great aroma but the flavor loses steam after a few sips as it transitions from juicy fruits to more of an herbal, berry hop profile with a large bitterness and a strong lime peel (like biting into a piece) bitterness and flavor.

Canned 9/1/21 and poured in a tulip glass. Pale opaque yellow in color, some ongoing effervescence but minimal head and lacing. Lemon, lime, pineapple and fresh squeezed orange juice on the nose. Flavors of lime juice, lemon zest - heavy citrus. A bit of lingering bitterness but pleasant. Decent drinking at 7%. This was a really enjoyable beer - I tend to like the DDH variants of Trilliums offerings, because they add some kick and bring out more of the flavors. Also improve the mouthfeel over the original versions, but I understand that could be a preference.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Trillium in Canton for about twenty dollars. Canned on date of 3/26. My twenty third brew from these guys. Good, not great.

Big thanks to VaTechPhilly for sending this one! Part of the box for one of the football BIFs we've done, I believe. I didn't make note of a date on the can, but consumed on 1/14/18 (two days after receipt). Poured from the 16 oz. can into an El Catador Barrel-Aged glass.

A: Pours a turbid light yellowish gold, with a half-finger of white head that doesn't stick around for too long. Not much carbonation visible in this pudding-ish looking beer.

S: Juicy tropical fruit and melon, dank and citrus. Cracker malts. Pineapple, mango, and tangerine - all juicy. Mild ruby red grapefruit, more juicy melon, and mild berries. Nice, though maybe not as juicy as some other Trillium offerings I’ve had.

T: Pineapple and orange-dominated citrus. Melon and a lesser amount of dank. Cracker malts, mild oaty grist. Some ruby grapefruit, more tropical fruits, and melon. Modestly bitter in the hang, still dripping with citrus juice.

M: Medium body for style, average carbonation. Alcohol flavors seem low.

O: This was really tasty. For once, a NE IPA I thought tasted better than it smelled. But either way, this really is really good.
