Permutation 28 is a striking specimen: presenting an intensely deep black-red, with vibrant purple head and lacing. An intense nose of raspberries, currants, and subtle floral notes reminiscent of rosewater lead into a raspberry forward palate. A subtle spice and earthy element is complemented by a tannic, red wine structure and dry finish with only a slight tartness.

Has a great dryness to it. Fruity and viscous.

Gorgeous beer - deep dark ruby red almost maroon hue with a purplish head. Unreal. Buddies were drinking red wine and the look of this beer fit right in.
Aroma is fruit-forward but not overly jammy. Blackberries galore with an earthy and woody undertone.
Taste is all blackberries with a little raspberry in the mix.
Lightly tart and extremely dry - wine-like tannins mingle wonderfully with the fruit. Slightly acidic.

750ml bottle dated 3/12/18.
Pours dark purple with a quickly fizzling head of purple. Zero retention or lacing. Blackberry jam with aspirin in the nose. Medium bodied with a crispish, almost prickly mouthfeel. The palate is chock full of ripe blackberries and mildly tart. Finishes with plenty of blackberries and tartness.
Nice beer for a blackberry fix.

This one was a gusher. 750ml capped bottle into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.
I don't often give a 5 for look but this beer deserves it. Dense. Dark, blood red with a deep rose head. So saturated that I think it's gonna stain the glass. Amazing. Nose is raspberry sweet and tartness with a touch of funk. Actually kind of mellow. Beer opens pungent, crushed raspberries. Pureed pulp mixed with candied fruit gives this almost a fruit juice profile. Lightly puckering towards the middle but good balance if a little mellow... almost watered down. Blended, almost smoothie like raspberry frothiness at the finish. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and puckering in the mouth and foamy going down. Really carbonated.
Given the way this beer started off, it could've been so much more... but the flavor leaves a little to be desired and the body is more carbonated than soda. Still solid but only just above average.
