Our Fated Farmer Series is a landmark step toward realizing our foundational vision for Trillium: Build a place that intuitively celebrates the intersection of New England farming, agriculture, brewing and an integrated community experience. The grist of each of the dynamic Fated Farmer wild ales is set on the structure of Valley Malt and is barrel fermented in 500L puncheons with our Native New England Wild Culture and aged for 5-7 months, before refermenting on freshly harvested fruit.
The addition of fresh blackberries create a beautiful crimson/purple hue. Blackberry Fated Farmer presents a vibrant garnet red with an inviting nose of blackberry, oak, cherry, and cinnamon. A palate of tart blackberry, cherry, with a nutmeg pie spice finish is balanced by earthy notes.
MALT: Valley Pilsner, Valley Wheat
HOPS: Aged Hops

Pours puple with a little bit of pink head.
Smell is tart and a bit funky with notes of blackberries, raspberries, lime and oak. Hints of vanilla.
Taste is sour with nice acidity. Juicy notes of blackberries, raspberries, sloe and lime, with some funk and oak on the finish. Quite complex and vinous.
Mouthfeel is medium, dry and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice and interesting sour.

Had tingles in my head when I drank this. Super sour but in the most holistic way.
