Collaboration with Perennial Artisan Ales
We teamed up with our friends at Perennial Artisan Ales to brew our latest dessert-inspired imperial stout. Coconut Pecan Pie is our take on the classic American baked good.
Pouring a dark umber brown with a khaki colored head, the nose offers a strong display of freshly shredded coconut, melted chocolate chips and ground nuts supported by a subtle note of simmered blackberries. The palate strikes a balance between dark chocolate fudge, molasses, pie crust and bright toasted coconut with deep, lingering notes of roasted pecans. Coconut Pecan Pie has a medium body and mouthfeel with a slightly lower level of sweetness compared to past releases in this vein.
MALT: Pale Malt, Flaked Oats, Simpson DRC, Crystal Malt, Black Malt, Roasted Barley
HOPS: Hop extract

Sweet with a medium-light body supported by a heavy froth, this one is a little metallic and boozy, with underlying nutty milk chocolate and coconut, finishing dry with a touch of maple sugar coming out.
