Our traditional Pilsner is the result of a continued, iterative focus on lager brewing. This fine-tuned, German-influenced recipe features classic lager yeast, a grain bill of primarily Bohemian floor-malted pilsner malt, plus Hallertau Magnum and Saaz hops and extended lagering in our horizontal tanks.

Pilsner pours a glimmering straw color with a fluffy white head. Aromas of whole grain bread crust and a touch of satisfying malt character hit the nose. These flavors follow on the palate, with a balanced sweetness and subtle, noble hop bite. A crisp finish keeps this medium bodied beer refreshing and easy to drink.

MALT: Pilsner, Melanoidin, Acid Malt

HOPS: Hallertau Magnum, Saaz

Clear, pale gold color; dense carbonation; thick head, white and dense with a creamy top; sticky rings and patches of foam mark the glass. Simply incredible nose; rich notes of biscuit and soft sweetness; well-balanced and nuanced hop spiciness. Doughy, bready, biscuit-like malt base flavor interspersed with a peppery, thyme-like herbal highlights. Smooth and medium-bodied with a crisp finish; the head adds an additional creamy element to the feel.

This is quite the joy to find a well-crafted German-style pilsner, especially brewed by a brewery more commonly known for its hazy India pale ales. The aroma is truly exceptional while the looks, taste, and mouthfeel are also incredible.

Canned 2025/07/09
Pours a frothy fizzy 1 finger head with fair retention, streaming bubbles to reinforce, crystal clear lighter golden pale color

Nose starts with pilsner malt, a bit bready doughy, straw, corn, cereal, some mild floral herbal hops

Taste starts with the same malts, bready doughy pilsner malt, a bit grainy-sweet, straw, a bit of corn, soft lager malt, no decoction, light herbal floral into mild spicy hops, lighter bitterness up front, the finishes dry and semi crisp with a bit spicy hop bitterness

Mouth is med bod, soft lager, med to a bit higher almost prickly carb

Overall pretty good pilsner, somewhere between German and Czech, but good

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours a beautiful transparent yellow with white head. Tons of bubbles rising throughout. The nose is welcoming, fresh, and exciting. Honey, wheat, fresh air, grass, oranges, nice fresh bread, and a very slight hoppy note.

The taste is fantastic. A perfect marriage between sweet/malty and hoppy bitterness. Wheat, slight citrus peel, grass, lemon, an herbal note (almost mint), hard fruit candy, bread. The aftertaste is leaning a bit towards bitter.

The mouthfeel is fairly light and crisp, with good carbonation. Overall, a really easy-drinking and great pilsner.

On tap. White head with lace. Clear golden color.

Grassy, earthy, floral. Bready, biscuity, toasted crackers. Crisp, clean, light bodied. Very smooth. Flavorful pils.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Trillium Brewery in Canton for about fifteen dollars. My thirty first brew from these guys. Not a huge pilsner guy these day, but this is very well-made.
