For this take on our imperial stout with cold brewed coffee, Night & Day, we added toasted pecans and Madagascar Vanilla Beans to bring out and showcase the roasted and nutty nuances of the base beer.
Out of the bottle, this beer pours a opaque black with a foamy mocha head and emits sweet aromatics of melted chocolate, freshly baked brown sugar cookies, dried fruit, and enticing dark coffee. Decadent chocolate covered turtles, pecan pralines, and toffee-nut brownies layer the palate with luxurious and rich flavors underpinned by smooth, rounded coffee presence. With a thick yet soft mouthfeel and velvety carbonation Vanilla and Toasted Pecan Night & Day has a roasty and balanced finish.
MALT: American 2-row Barley, C-60, C-120, Black (Patent), Dextrine, Caramunich, Roasted Barley, Special B, Pale Chocolate
HOPS: Columbus
ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS: Madagascar Vanilla, Toasted Pecans, Barrington Cold Brew Coffee

Night & Day base (which is good - not awesome), with overpowered vanilla and unidentifiable pecan. This one is a mediocre addition to an unevenly great line.

Bottle. Tan head. Black color.
Cold brew coffee, chocolate, cacao nibs, milk chocolate, and vanilla in the finish. Toasted pecan shows a little with some roasted notes.
Smooth feel. Full bodied. Maybe a tad too much carbonation.

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and little bit of lacing.
This smells like toasty coffee, caramel, candied pecan, melted ice cream, boozy roast and toffee.
The taste is similar. It’s fairly light on vanilla, but the creamy candy nuttiness plays quite well with the big roasts coffee and toasted caramel flavors I get here. It’s a touch boozy.
This is creamy and pretty rich, with a touch of booziness on the finish.
The base is better, but this is still a fun twist.
