Pouring a beautifully striking bright gold color with a creamy white head, Central Artery displays a wonderfully vibrant nose balancing malty aromas of freshly baked, flour dusted rolls and lightly toasted barley with a gentle noble hop profile of dried wildflowers. Cleanly fermented, the palate follows the nose closely with pleasantly sweet notes of kneaded biscuit dough and bread crust. Refreshing and quenchable with a light rounded body, fully reserved level of bitterness and soft, drying finish, Central Artery proudly honors this classic Bavarian style as the signature house lager of our own beer garden.

Pours a frothy semi dense 1 finger head with moderate retention, a bit of lacing, mostly clear golden straw color
Nose brings rich grainy-sweet malt, doughy cereal grain, a touch of straw and corn, light floral hops, hint of lemongrass
Taste starts with more grainy-sweet malt, cereal, straw, a bit doughy cracker like, light corn tortilla character, fair soft lager but not sure if decoction level layers, maybe single decoction, light floral herbal hops, dry finish, a bit more herbal hop bitterness lingering
Mouth is med bod, fairly soft, med to higher frothy carb
Overall not bad, not as complex and rich as many of the great German versions, but still good

Canned 4/17/25; drank 5/26/25 @ the Yarchives.
See-through dull orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy khaki head; strong, frothy tree-rung lacing remained.
Honeyed grain & mild pine notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Mild honeyed bread flavors up front; mild pine bite on the finish.
A nice enough Helles that isn't super memorable.

Pours golden, only slightly hazy. It's grain forward with some fresh noble hop character. Bread and light floral notes. The malt character isn't particularly developed. This is a really a ticks the boxes beer. It's fine. It's drinkable. That's it.

(16 oz can, 05/18/22; gifted a can by my bro, who purchased it at the brewery 2 weeks ago... poured into my Human Robot Tubinger/tankard mug)
L: polished-clear, gold liquid; off-white, shiny, sudsy foam stand, crumbling and crackling immediately upon pour... it keeps a thin, frayed cap, but doesn't lace much
S: one of the most 'fermenting dough' aromas I can recall detecting on a beer; bit of the herbal, outdoorsy noble hops; overall intensity moderate, feeling like I'm craving a a touch more clarity and vibrancy
T: first sip almost dead-on German import wow!; bready, spicy-herbal, burlap / wool upholstery... extra dry, crackery, dusty aftertaste with a very delicate peppery spice... also a delicate naked pils malt grainy sweetness emerges... the colors of malt sugars and hop resins gradually get filled in, revealing more richness and depth as it goes... modest herbal spicy bitterness and buttery dough artifacts
F: ample carbonation and gassy reminders... light-bodied with a mild resinous viscosity; quiet, quick, and agile in its flow-through... subtle spicy warmth builds via hops then alcohol
O: I've had numerous well-made domestic Helles, but this is arguably one of the better ones... just fantastic! (1905)

Had this on 2021-06-04 in Lititz, PA from a fresh 16oz can.
Very authentic. Light sourdough bread, floral, fruity and mild bitterness. Good look and mouthful. Recommended.

L: Pours a straw color with good clarity. A gentle pour yields two fingers of fine, white head with a little retention. As the beer goes down no lacing is left behind.
S: Not getting much on the nose. Light notes of bready malt with just a hint of floral and grassy character.
T: I get bready malt, light floral notes, and a hint of grass
F: Light bodied with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth with a light carbonation prickliness on the top of the palate.
O: Pretty standard helles with not much to offer other than it has no flaws. Not getting much Noble hop character with most of the nose and taste coming from the malt bill. This is a pretty good house beer that is very drinkable if not severely overpriced.
