Collaboration with Monkish Brewing Co.
Following up on our previous collaborations with our good friends from Monkish Brewing, Insert Hip Hop Reference Everywhere is an all Galaxy Triple IPA. Pouring a gorgeous pale orange with eye catching haze, Insert Hip Hop Reference Everywhere is brightly aromatic offering mouthwatering notes of ripe tropical fruit and citrus zest underpinned by an enticing floral accent. A luscious melange of diced mango, sweet pineapple, clementine and melon lead the palate balanced by a clean, rounded bitterness. With a pleasant biscuity sweetness, Insert Hip Hop Reference Everywhere displays a medium body and smooth pillowy mouthfeel that makes each returning sip enjoyable.
MALT: American Two Row, Malted Oats, Flaked Wheat, White Wheat, C-15
HOPS: Galaxy

Canned 07/16/19, 08:54:03, “CAN I KICK IT?”
Murky golden orange pour, opaque appearance. Some frothy white head settles into a thin ring around the beer. Small patterns of lace decorate the inside of the glass.
Much more malt-forward on the nose than I expected, with undertones of overripe mango and booze. This was canned less than two months ago, but it seems as though fresh was the way to go with this. As it opens, however, the malt mellows considerably and allows aromas of pineapple juice to come more to the forefront.
Hit immediately with pineapple and floral hops. The bitterness is mild but cuts through the abundant sweetness from the fruit. Rich orange flavors ring true throughout, and it all mellows into a re-emergence of that familiar malt prominence that was initially powerful on the nose.
Full-bodied mouthfeel, with a low but fairly sharp carbonation that is crucial to keeping this beer from being overly full-feeling. Good amount of residual stickiness, along with small amounts of lingering hop bitterness and boozy warmth. With that being said, crazy drinkable at 10.3%.

poured from a 16oz can into a stemmed bulb glass. pours a hazy, milky orange with white head that disappears quickly. smells oddly malty. i get some dank hops and even some tropical fruit but there’s an off malty smell that persists. taste is similar with that weird malty presence. it does hide the 10+ ABV quite well but that nagging malt aroma flavor is off putting at best. feel is full bodied, lower carb and smooth. not quite sure what to say about this. it’s certainly not a bad beer but it’s its potential to be great that’s not quite there that makes for a bit of a disappointing pour.

Insert Hip Hop Reference pours a vibrant, yet murky orange with very small, white head, little retention but some good spotty lacing. The smell is undeniable, big juicy and tropical fruits including pineapple and mango with some hints of citrus, a sweet mellow and underlying floral notes. Taste is smooth over the palette with a medium mouthfeel, overripe juicy mango and pineapple with a nice sweetness and a late, but mild hop bitterness with just a hint of booze for a well balance TIPA
