Pours a hazy golden color with a 1F head and light lacing.
Smells of slightly dank resinous hops with some pineapple and citrus.
Tastes of tart grapefruit, tangy wheat and a bit of citrus with a lightly bitter finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth dry mouthfeel.
This brew is a mild mannered hop bomb that is mostly bitter on balance. It may be too much for the uninitiated.

Thanks, Darin!
Was lucky enough to have this and nine others sent to me by Darin. Included in the haul was a handful of Trillium beers. Trillium’s website description was “Connecting Fort Point with Downtown Boston for over a century before being taken out of commission in 2014, The Northern Avenue Bridge has been "broken" since. While plans were announced in May of 2020 to reconstruct the bridge, turning it into a pedestrian and cyclist crossway and gathering space, it's currently serving as a statue at the entryway to the Boston Harbor. Broken Bridge is a continuation of the Trillium tradition of brewing beers inspired by our home. Featuring a blend of four hops we know well and are incredibly fond of, this single IPA pours a hazy dark yellow color with a frothy white head. The aroma is intensely tropical, offering notes of candied pineapple and passion fruit juice, followed by citrus undertones, most notably pithy orange juice. Medium-bodied and soft, Broken Bridge is a standout Trillium IPA.” NOTE: Didn’t see until midway through the taste that the hops were mentioned at the bottom of the page - Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Galaxy and CTZ.
Poured a hazy golden color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Just a few bubbles coming up from the sides of the glass. Good spotty lacing. Excellent spotty retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled coconut (almost coconut macaroon), Citra, pineapple, grapefruit, orange juice, passion fruit and mixed berry. No mention of hops (later figured them out), but besides Citra I would say Mosaic and maybe El Dorado. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Not as good as I thought it would be. In order got passion fruit, orange pulp, coconut, bitter grapefruit rind, Citra, pineapple, viney berry, Mosaic, floral and Columbus. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, rather smooth finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding overall, but I have to say not quite as good as I thought it would be. (Overall - 4.00)

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Trillium Brewing Company, Boston, MA
Served in a tulip
12/08/20
Hazy, yellow ochre appearance. The body was topped by a inch-talk, fluffy, bright white crown that quickly fizzled down to a thin halo. No lacing whatsoever.
The aroma was fruity and pleasant. Nice melding of citrus fruit, stone fruit and tropical fruit notes. Loads of juicy orange. Really bright and sweet. Mango was also apparent. Bit of peach as well. Hint of booziness. Passionfruit was noticeable as the beer warmed. Some overripe tropical fruit notes and dankness came through on the second pour.
The flavor profile was definitely more citrus forward than the nose. Juicy orange notes dominated. Bit of tangy tangerine too. Pineapple appeared in the center. More tangerine and tangerine peel on the back end. Grapefruit and grapefruit rind-like notes rounded things out in the finish. Touch of lingering pith and bitterness.
Medium bodied mouthfeel. Fluffy and soft on the palate. The liquid contained a bubbly, somewhat spritzy effervescence that frothed up nicely.
Though Broken Bridge is not a particularly notable or unique addition to the Trillium lineup, it was solid nevertheless and quite enjoyable. I would definitely consider buying this again.
