Featuring Mosaic, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, El Dorado, and Strata, The Harbor Islands pours a gorgeous light orange with a warm, glowing haze. Presenting intense aromatics in the same wheelhouse as some of our most intensely hopped offerings, fresh fruit bursts upon the palate. Tropical fruit salad, juicy peach at peak ripeness, candied citrus, and fresh-squeezed orange juice delight throughout the glass. Medium-bodied and plush, The Harbor Islands finishes semi-dry, with enough of a resinous hop bite to keep us coming back for the next sip.

a: murky, creamy dark orange color. 2 finger off-white head. great look
s: huge apricots and tangerines upfront. clementines, creamsicle, orange juice and orange zest. crackers, pineapple and some mango. strawberry kiwi and passionfruit behind that. a touch of guava and honeydew. a bit of a malts sweetness in the background
t: you're first hit with melon and a grapey earthiness. mango, pineapple, guava, and passionfruit follow. clementines and orange zest bitterness. crackers and some mango. creamsicle and a touch of sugary sweetness close it out
m: medium mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. no stickiness
o: really nice beer. has a nice balance of sweet and bitter that is always nice in a NEDIPA. easy to drink, yet it has some body

Solid hazy IPA. Aroma on this is absolutely lovely - fragrant and juicy. Taste is not as sweet as the nose would imply with a more pronounced bitterness than I expected. Still get some fruity notes coming through along with that woody hop character from the southern hemisphere hops used in this one.

Canned on 9/8/21 and imbibed on 10/3/21 in a tulip glass. Light orange or dark yellow in color (basically equivalent?) with virtually no head and lacing even with an aggressive pour. Very juicy nose: fresh squeezed orange juice, peaches, pineapples. Fruit-forward on the palate as well - more orange pulp, ripe peaches, tropical smoothie. Little bitterness and not much residual hops on the finish. Another good once from Trillium - can’t say there was anything that stood out in particular from their other DIPAs, but it was very drinkable and smooth.

Notes of ripe tropical fruits, peach, pineapple, white grape, mango, candied orange citrus, white grapefruit, subtle toasty malts, with dank earthy resinous herbal grassy pine.
