This Triple Oat Cream IPA presents a golden yellow color with heavy haze. Waves of fruit salad-like aromas crash over the palate, offering intense notes of mango nectar, orange creamsicle, mixed berry compote, and juicy nectarine. Thanks to a generous addition of oats and a gentle application of milk sugar, the mouthfeel is plush, with a markedly well-hidden alcohol presence and a lightly sweet finish.

Thanks, Bill!
Was lucky enough to get a bunch of beer from Bill (and Kristine) when I saw them on a recent work trip. Wasn’t expecting that and I hadn’t brought anything myself. So stupid. Should’ve brought some Mcilhenney crowlers for their pregame. Anyway, was looking forward to this one the most I think. Online description was “We've long enjoyed the bicoastal aviation-themed collaboration series between two close friends in Monkish and Other Half. This year, a strange layover at Logan was added and an aisle seat opened up! Brewed with milk sugar and hopped with Citra, Mosaic, Motueka, and Simcoe, we added some Citra and Simcoe Cryo to JFK2LAX: In the Clouds as the finishing touch. Poured a bright light golden hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Almost-perfect pulpy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Mosaic, Citra, mango, mixed berry, orange creamsicle, tangerine, nectarine, peach, Simcoe, papaya, coconut, lime, lemon and grapefruit rind. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted even better than the nose. In order got Mosaic, Citra, mango, mixed berry, orange creamsicle, nectarine, peach, mixed fruit cup, tangerine, orange, Simcoe, papaya, grapefruit rind, lime and lemon. Overall was pretty damn smooth for 10.2 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Damn. This was excellent, almost perfect. Just lovely. (Overall - 4.50)

Drank from a 1 pt. (16 fl.oz.) can purchased at Trillium Brewing Company, Boston, MA
Canned on 10/27/21
Served in a tulip
Pale golden yellow appearance. The beer was capped by a small, bubbly crown that quickly broke apart. A thin collar encircled the liquid. There was zero lacing however.
The aroma was fruity and smooth. Juicy peach and nectarine notes came through strong. Ripe mango was also apparent. Orange notes were detectable as well. Bit of vanilla too. An orange creamsicle came to mind. Slightly sweet but, all in all, surprisingly well balanced for the style.
The flavor profile was solid but definitely more straightforward than the nose. Citrus notes dominated. Orange flesh was noticeable up front. Bit of peach too. Orange peel appeared as the beer moved along the palate. Somewhat pithy and dry. Pineapple came through in the center. More orange peel on the back end and the finish. Touch of booze, bitterness and a mild hop burn. As the beer warmed, the bitterness mellowed and the peach notes intensified.
Excellent fluffy mouthfeel. Lighter bodied for the style. Although the liquid was thinner than I anticipated, this definitely aided in the beer’s drinkability and was much preferred over the syrupy nature of most triple IPAs.
LAX To JFK : In The Clouds is an impressive TIPA that drinks shockingly well given the style and the ABV. I would love to revisit this with a few more weeks of age to see how it evolves.

Poured from a can dated 10/27/21
Thick cloudy yellow orange color, thin quickly dissipating head, no lacing no cap.
Aroma of fruit salad, pineapple, tropical stone fruits citrus. Bright smelling and notes of oatmeal
Taste is fruity, sticky sweet to slightly tart. A bit milky, some oatmeal and alcohol comes through
Mouthfeel is thick, smooth starting to astringent type of finish. Slight alcohol burns and very sticky but not overly sweet
Overall it’s a thicker heavy beer, distinctive fruit layers and a creamy starting prickly finishing beer.
