5 months old. Can to tumbler.
L: Pours a completely opaque pinkish dark red with with a foamy, pink head that dissipates quickly. Just a bit of lacing in the form of very fine fruit sediment.
S: Strong notes of strawberry jam with hints of raspberry and blackberry.
T: Fermented liquid strawberry jam. Other red berries are also in play. Mainly blackberries. First sweet, then sour, then bitter.
F: Thick and jammy. Drinks like vey fine fruit purée. Low carbonation.
O: It says „mixed berry“ on the can and that‘s exactly what you get here. Strawberry notes are dominating, but other (red) berries are also there. Nice addition to the series with the typical mouthfeel and a very nice balance.

Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Trillium Brewing Company, Boston, MA
06/02/22
Served in a tulip
Gorgeous appearance. The beer poured a completely opaque, deep oxblood hue and was topped by a thick, creamy, light fuchsia crown that slowly dropped to a lasting dollop of froth. A wall of drippy lacing coated the front side of the glass and thick rings stuck along the back. Compared to most Trillium fruited kettle sours, the lacing was quite intense.
The nose was pleasant but more subtle initially than I anticipated. Berry notes dominated. Raspberry was most apparent. Good dose of blackberry too. As the head dissipated and the beer warmed, the nose intensified. Cranberry was also detectable. Overall, nice balance of sweet and tart.
The flavor profile followed the nose but was definitely punchier from the start. Again, raspberry was most prominent. Bit of strawberry too. Some lemony tartness appeared in the center. Punchy cranberry notes came through on the back end and lingered in the finish. Like the aroma, there was a nice balance here between sweet and tart. As the beer sat, the cranberry really intensified.
Excellent rich, full bodied mouthfeel. Creamy, slick and smooth on the palate. The lactose was definitely more apparent here than in the flavor or aroma. A fine, moderate effervescence gave the liquid a nice suppleness.
Dagligt Intag is a terrific fruited kettle sour but not all that different from many of the beers in Trillium’s Twice the Daily Serving series. At $26 a four pack, perhaps I was anticipating something a bit more notable.

(16 oz can, 06/02/22; my brother gifted me a can he picked up at the brewery... decanted into a fat tulip)
L: murky af plum-colored liquid; lots of foam on the pour, receding to a gummy collar... thick cresecent cut ring of lace at the top... overall, its color is relatively striking and inviting, despite its impenetrable total absence of clarity
S: mashed/macerated blueberry, blackberry brandy... hints of barrel wood, honeydew, sour berry taffy... little overt ethanol, though the aforementioned 'brandy' note does carry a bit of tonic potency... overall intensity moderate-to-high; thick, rich, vibrant
T: basically berry nectar at the start, with perhaps a semblance of wheaty runoff in its foundation; its tart bite rushes to the fore in the finish, clinging to the palate roof in the aftertaste, while the leavings of liquid pancake juice linger on the floor... I can begin to taste it as the glass approaches my open mouth
F: I would call this practically full-bodied, but just short of silty-sloppy... not sure if it's its boozy sting or its stealth carbonation - curiously active and airy at the top, lending some lift and contrast with the sludge on the ground - but despite the residual, lip-smacky, luscious leavings on the palate, it's well short of taxing
O: so I believe this is the first Trillium beer I've actually drank out of my Trillium-branded 'fat tulip' which I often use for reviews... not quite what I expected, but rather enjoyable I must say... these are the kind of kettle sours I could see craving; thanks bruv! (1903)
