Each year, we craft a female-driven brew in honor of Women’s History Month here at Trillium. Our 2023 recipe is a crisp, clean drinking lager with a touch of Nelson Sauvin hops.
Our Level Playing Field Lager labels display a hand-illustrated, evenly weighted see-saw representing Trillium's focus on maintaining an equal workplace with a balanced gender makeup.
Released on International Women’s Day, Level Playing Field Lager presents a beautiful bright straw yellow. The nose is nuanced, never sitting idly but shifting from delightful biscuity grain character to subtle lime zest aromas. Refreshingly light-bodied, with a gentle bitterness and delicate sweetness.

Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow with a small frothy white foam head. Smells like snappy crisp white grapes, white wine, kiwi, gooseberry, lime, lemony citrus, peppery spice, doughy crackery bready malt, with floral earthy herbal grass. Tastes like crisp white grapes, white wine, kiwi, gooseberry, lime, lemony citrus, peppery spice, bready doughy crackery malts, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium bodied, crisp, creamy and smooth with moderate carbonation. Overall a real nice Nelson hopped lager.
