Drank from a 1 pint can purchased at Trillium Brewing Company, Boston, MA
09/07/23
Served in a tulip
The beer poured an insanely viscous and completely opaque, pinkish-orange hue that reminded me of a mixture of mango and guava nectar. A frothy, large bubbled, two-finger tall crown (that was a shade lighter than the body) topped the liquid and quickly dissolved. There was no lacing and no head retention, but a wall of fine, clear sediment coated the glass.
The aroma was fantastic and very tropical fruit forward. Pineapple and mango dominated initially. Lots of passionfruit too. Good dose of peach as well. Tart lime notes were also apparent. As the beer sat, some guava came forth and intensified with time.
The flavor profile followed the nose but was even more intense. Loads of sweet-tart tropical fruitiness. Mango and pineapple came through big time. Good dose of passionfruit too. Guava was also noticeable. Tart lime notes appeared on the back end and crescendoed in the finish. Some zippy lime rind lingered after the swallow.
Excellent thick, gloppy, full-bodied mouthfeel. Slippery and slick, like a fruit smoothie. The liquid contained a fine, moderate effervescence that was ideal for a beer of this style.
Although this is the first “Thrice” fruited sour in Trillium’s Daily Serving series, I could not tell if it was significantly fruitier than any of their “Twice” beers. That said, it was quite extreme, highly enjoyable and absolutely perfect on an 85 degree late Spring afternoon.

Seriously pours out thick guava juice, guava colored and thick soupy like, a bit of a fizzy head forms before fading quickly, about as opaque as you can get
Nose basically guava up front, thick guava juice, some passion fruit and pineapple, citrus, orange juice and mango puree, no beer at all in there, it's just fruit juice
Taste again is just fruit puree, loads of passion fruit and guava up front, into some mango and orange citrus like, a bit of tartness, some creamy notes but otherwise again no beer at all!
Mouth is thick chewy puree like
Overall this is not beer in the slightest, why even call this a beer, it's just a fruit smoothie with alcohol, I baffled how this can still be called a beer. Is it tasty? Yes. Smells nice sure. But NOT A BEER, especially Berliner Weisse!

This is a thick, incredibly juicy Berliner Weiss that is delicious. Warning: this does not taste like beer. It tastes like guava, mango, passion fruit, pineapple and lime juice mix. Its abv is a dangerous 8% so be careful. I am a fan.
