Next up for our Anniversary beer releases, we're thrilled to announce our first-ever collaboration with our friends over at @halfwaycrooksbeer!
Introducing Premium Lager, a crisp homage to pre-Prohibition times. Built on a foundation of Pilsner malt from @valleymalt for a refreshingly smooth experience, it features Trillium-grown corn and a quartet of European hops (Hersbrucker, Hallertau Mittelfruh, Saaz & Magnum) for a classic, clean character. Perfect for warmer weather!

16 ounce can - $5.75 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Pale flaxen hue, a slight hint of haziness. Frothy, white head.
Smell: Cracker dough character with a thin veneer of cereal sweetness, though it becomes a bit more sweet-scented as it warms. Slight pear fruitiness. Softly floral, herbal, spicy hop aromatics.
Taste: Crackery, doughy and subtly grainy. A little pop of honeyed cereal sweetness. Light orchard fruitiness. Dried florals, herbal sage quality and an earthy spice accent. Light touch of white wine with a very, very ultra low hint of citrus. Easy-going bitterness sustained through the earthy-herbal finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Fine creamy quality to the mouthfeel.
Overall: Pleasant beer.

Picked up a four pack of cans at Curtis Liquors in Cohasset, MA for about sixteen dollars. My sixty seventh brew from these guys. Canned on date of 3/7/24. Just OK for me.

16 oz can dated 03/07/24
Pours mostly clear bright yellow with a frothy white foam head. Smells like fresh corn on the cob, light toasty biscuity crackery malts, mild apricot, apple, pear, orange citrus, lemon, and peppery earthy herbal grass. Tastes like fresh corn, light toasty biscuity crackery malt, some fruity esters, apple, pear, mild apricot, orange citrus, lemon, pepper, and earthy herbal grass. Feels medium-light bodied, crisp and refreshing with moderate smooth carbonation. Overall a nice pre-Prohibition American lager.
