Our signature American pale ale balances light, crisp, malt character with an abundance of hop-derived aromatics and flavors from the use of Citra and Columbus. The fragrant nose is fresh citrus, tropical fruit, and peach. Bold flavors of pineapple and mango mix with dank notes of zesty citrus and fresh pine needles. With the smooth mouthfeel, gentle bitterness, and dry finish, Fort Point is our standard daily-drinker.
MALT: American 2-row Barley, White Wheat, C-15, Dextrine
HOPS: Citra, Columbus

Draught. Super creamy mouth feel. Citra hits first and is great. But then you get nutty after taste.

From a 16oz can dated 04/01/26 into a pint shaker.
Pours an opaque orangish yellow with about two fingers of white head. Great retention and lacing.
Some zesty orange, melon and grapefruit on the nose.
Citrus, citrus peel, oranges, mango and a little bit of peach in the flavor. Zesty light bitterness on the back end of the sip.
Thinner bodied with a zesty, almost acidic, dry, bitter finish. Bitter aftertaste.
I can imagine this beer was pretty groundbreaking a bunch of years ago and I appreciate it as such. That said, in a sea of hazies, this one is pretty pedestrian.

From a 16oz can. Canned on 02/04/2026
This beer is a nice looking beer. It has a beautiful pale golden color to it. The beer is quite murky looking in the glass. There's a 1 1/2 finger white head to the beer that is quite fluffy looking. The head retention is decent, and there's a bit of lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The aroma hit my nose while pouring. I was getting some pretty good tropical citrus notes hitting me while pouring. Time to get in close to the beer. I am getting a nice pineapple aroma hitting my nose. I am also getting some orange and grapefruit notes touching my sense of smell. I am sure they were stronger notes when this beer was freshly canned, but they're still powerful.
The citrus notes from the hops hit right away. The pineapple is the major flavor hitting me. I also get faint orange and grapefruit notes. There's some earthiness that hits my taste buds on the backside. There's a nice light bitterness that finishes off the flavor profile.
The body is pretty damn full for the style of beer. There's a bit of softness to the body. There's a bit of a bubbly feeling hitting my tongue.
Quite impressive beer overall. I am glad I finally got the chance to buy and try it.

Having lived under a rock for 72 years, this was my first from Trilium. (I'd heard about them, but that is no substitute for knowing what others are talking about.) Anyhow, it was a destiny to find Fort Point in London's House of Cans. To Trillium, I give extraordinary Overall Hugs for being such well-rounded Good Guys with sustainable brewing and farming and having at least four venues and serving food and being a great place for 300 people to work and giving back. It's all extraordinary for a twelve year old.
Fort Point deserves its elevation in this juicy style. While its Looks invite me in, its foam might last until the end. Smells invoke the style's fruit punch, but restrained and balanced. Tastes are the same, but pitch perfect with marginal bitter at the end; letting the fruit control the show. Better than medium-mouthed and soft. Done well !
