Much like a Scottish Export, this beer starts off leaning towards a rich, sweet, and malty session ale. The Golden Promise malt centers the beer while Beechwood-smoked malt delivers elements of chocolate that push it in the direction of a London Ale. Smoke floats in and out of the aroma as English Fuggle hops add just a touch of bitterness and a woodsy herbal aroma that work in tandem with the smoke to deepen the flavor and balance.
