Thanks, Nick!
Got this and a host of other good stuff from Nick. Had never heard of Westbound & Down or Cannonball Creek, but was in on this beer when I saw the hop combo of Galaxy, Strata and Mosaic. Mosaic is my favorite hop, Strata has one of my favorite new hops and Galaxy has really been growing on me (it took a long time). Couldn’t really find any other descriptions on this beer, although Westbound & Down will apparently be doing collabs with a bunch of breweries for this series.
Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of off-white frothy-to-fizzy head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Average watery lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.50)
A lot of different flavors on the nose. Really a good mix. In order got passion fruit, nectarine, peach, purple grape, red grapefruit, mixed berry, rose blossom, floral and bubblegum. For mentioned hops, they seemed pretty balanced with Galaxy maybe slightly ahead. Much the same from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got passion fruit, nectarine, peach, red grapefruit, mixed berry, purple grape, rose blossom, floral and bubblegum. Nice mix of hops, seemed to be 40 percent Galaxy, and 30 percent Mosaic and 30 percent Strata. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, slightly dry finish. (Feel - 4.50)
This was excellent. So, so good. (Overall - 4.25)
