An imperial version of Juice Caboose. We needed an extra caboose for all the flavors and aromas of pineapple, ripe mango, melon and sweet citrus.

Thanks, Nick!
Was lucky enough to get this beer and a bunch of others from Nick on his recent visit to San Diego. Untappd’s description was “An imperial version of Juice Caboose. We needed an extra caboose for all the flavors and aromas of pineapple, ripe mango, melon and sweet citrus.” It was a little past my goal of 60 days but still decided to review it.
Poured a light golden hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Could see plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class foamy layered lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled melon, pineapple, viney berry, mango, orange, tea, herbal, pine, lemon zest and Sprite. No mention of hops, but I’d think Idaho 7 is one for sure. Smelled a little better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got melon, pineapple, viney berry, mango, orange, tea, herbal, pine, lemon zest and Sprite. No mention of hops but I’d think Idaho 7 is prominent. Pretty smooth for 8.7 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This one grew on me each sip. (Overall - 4.25)

Tall can, “born on 6/27/23”
Full on quality NEIPA almost fully cloudy pour.. Delicate cap, film and ringed sheeting.
Some yeasty chunkage floating around towards the bottom of the glass. Fresh and natural creation.
Over ripe tropical fruit sniff.
Delicious creation, tropical, earthy, complex and over the top tasty. Loaded with ripe notes of pineapple, mangoes, assorted stone fruits and melon…..mighty fine….go get some.

Double Juice Caboose pours a hazy, orangish color, with a small, but long lacing head. Aroma has notes of dry fruit, a little earth. Flavor has dried tropical fruit notes, a hint of bitterness, dry body, a bit of earth. Good body and feel. Overall, a big hazy, with good flavors.
