4oz tap pour as part of a flight
Glugged out pitch black, little ring of dark foam. Smells like coffee and chocolate malt. The taste follows suit, with a cherry flavor on the backend that is very enjoyable and tastes like real cherry, not an artificial additive

Taken as part of a flight. This porter is extremely dark, almost black, with strong aromas of coffee. The coffee flavor is noticeable up front, but not overpowering. Slight hints of cherry on the back end. My favorite beers from Nutmeg have generally been porters, though that's not traditionally one of my favorite styles. This is perhaps my second favorite of their offerings, behind a chai porter that I haven't seen from them in quite awhile. If you like porters, this one is quite good.
