on tap at the source; poured into an Oregon City can-style glass; my first experience with the grodziskie style..
P clear pale gold w// small white head; quick recession
N med to med-bold; yeasty; fruity, earthy; wheat malt notes make it reminiscent of a hefeweizen; pleasant
T follows nose in the brief forward with earthy and leafy flavors; the smoked elements come off as spice-like and salty in the long finish, and herbal bitterness lingers in the aftertaste; coats the tongue; really no sweetness to balance out the profile, unfortunately
Mf light-med bodied with med to med-high carb
O this was a tough one for me to drink through, as I found it increasingly difficult to get past the brazen bitterness; wish the profile was more like the nose, to be honest; I can't say I'm a fan of this particular beer, but I will try another in the style at some point for comparative purposes; with all that being said, I was happy to have the opportunity to try it nonetheless

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
