Clear amber with a nice topper of foam in the Maredsous goblet. This is more warm, malty, and grainy than pretty much any Kölsch I've encountered. I'd call it a Blonde ale with a Belgian yeasty edge and a nice caramel aftertaste. Beery aroma and I wouldn't say it has any perfumey hop note, as you'd expect.
There is just a slight bitter edge.
But whatever it is, this is quite drinkable with a pleasant fizzy mouthfeel and that slightly sweet grainy taste. From the 32 oz growler filled at the brewery in Langley yesterday.
