Clear pale amber with fine-grained foam. Pleasant sudsy and prickly mouthfeel with a malty body. Aroma of wood, cereal, and fresh bread. Flavor is quite interesting. First a hint of Belgian yeast, then a touch of strawberries, and finally a toasty malt flavor. Only a suggestion of bitterness. I think of Champale! Overall this is a mild-mannered but malty and flavorful sort of Pilsner. From the 16 oz jug filled at the brewpub.
