I had this beer on-tap in a schooner glass at the brewery taproom in Langley.
Appearance: dark amber-brown hue with a finger of frothy dark-ivory foam atop.
Smell: caramelly malt with a fair bit of sweetness. Not bad, but not particularly complex.
Taste: nice caramelly malt with a bit of sweet breadiness. Bitterness is maybe a bit high but not bad. Pretty solid altbier.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: altbier isn’t always my favorite style, but this is a pretty good example of the style. Worth getting if you come here.
