I had this beer on-tap in a short straight-sided glass at the brewery taproom.

Appearance: pale yellow hue with only a tiny hint of haze and a thin layer of white foam atop.

Smell: a bit sweet with a lovely, fresh, and floral pear aroma. My favorite kind of aroma in a tripel. Really, really good.

Taste: that same mildly sweet malt with that same lovely pear character. One drawback is that there’s a boozy heat that’s a little heavy for me. But overall, quite good.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a lowish carbonation and a decent creaminess.

Overall: a really solid tripel. A little bit cleaner with less alcohol heat would be nice, but still, the flavor is good and the aroma is outstanding.
