Over 90lbs of cherry juice were added to each barrel of this wheat ale. The result is a refreshing, effervescent, tart cherry beer with just the right splash of cherry sweetness. Guests to our taproom can enjoy this beer as a shandy when combined with our hand-made ginger soda (when available).

12oz pour in a stemmed, kind of tulippy glass at the Oak Brook location.
Murky purple with a light pink, small dense head. Smell is fruit juice -- super cherry forward.
Taste is tons of cherry juice, some cherry skin bitterness, just a hint of tartness.
Mouthfeel is smooth, almost creamy. Overall -- very good cherry juice with a little grain. Almost a smoothie "sour" without the pulp.

Had on tap. Clear ruby red pour, white ring. Nose is full of tart cherry and wheat. Taste is almost cherry pie like up front with added sweetness to the tart cherry, wheat and malt round out. Feel is light, playfully tart, very smooth and thin for a berliner. Great for a hot day, strikes me as a beer that has one foot in berliner weiss and one in fruit beer

L: beautiful beer pouring brilliant cherry red under a 1.5" white cap with a light pink tint
S: Cherry and cherry pit aromas along with traces of wheat. There is no funk and no hop aromas. There is a trace of sour and a hint of vanilla.
T: mildly sweet up front with a lemonade level of tartness. The cherry flavors are big and rich and ease into a tart, crisp, dry finish
F: body is medium low and the carbonation is medium high
O: a very pleasant, thirst quenching beer.

Look: A hazey. coppery, blood orange color. A finger of fluffy white head on top.
Smell: Lots of cherry, a little bit of pomegranate, and a tiny amount of subtle wheat notes.
Taste: Slightly sour cherry. Some orange and other citrusy fruit hides the background as well.
Feel: Light and refreshing like fruit juice. Very mild carbonation.
Overall: More sour than I expected, but still very delicious and drinkable.

Noticing a lot of orders for this while sitting at the bar. Had one myself. Beautiful rose in color. Light body. Find it more tart than sour. Unique overall. Not much in the cherry department though one has to appreciate the amount of fruit that really goes into this. Honest approach. Will go back for more and will update.
