Taster at LL Beaverton. Dark brown pour, skin of off white head, bring. Aroma is light, roasty. Taste is similar, very light, sweetness, cola, coffee. Closer to a Schwarzbier.

Look: Jet black in the glass and ruby-red on the pour which generates a silky tan head to form and settle to a film, leaving large-bubbled lacing behind
Aroma: Citrusy spruce tips, ripe orange, menthol, warmed brown bread, light floral notes, and wafts of chocolate
Taste: Starts off with a nice chocolatey malt hit that is joined by brown bread and lingers for a moment before spruce tips come rushing in. Citrus, mint, and floral notes are abound and blend well with the bread and chocolate, coming together nicely for a cool and slightly roasted finish
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, medium-high carbonation, and mildly dry on the finish
Overall: This is an outstanding beer. My second offering in this cool series and I think my first ever beer from these folks so was excited to try it, especially given the CDA with spruce tips descriptor. It’s a tasty and well-made CDA that incorporates the spruce nicely and I feel is enhanced by its addition as well. Delicious and recommended
