Stopped for lunch here driving home from Medford. Wife and kids were with me.

Food selection is pretty good, food quality is OK. Brisket sandwich was mediocre, but the fries were quite good (as was the poutine). Kids' grilled cheese looked like a joke -- barely toasted bread. I don't think they even hit a hot surface.

Beer selection was good. My wife had a nitro stout that was boring but not flawed; I had a pretty good double IPA, and a pretty good roggenbier.

Staff was fine (although I had to explain what a "schooner" was, which seemed odd).

If I lived close to this place, I'd probably be back from time to time -- I think I could probably find the right things on the menu to be satisfied. But, I wouldn't consider it a destination place.

Falling Sky can be a little hard to find for a first time visitor but it’s well worth the effort.

The room is about 30 by 20. High ceilings, large windows and two glass garage doors make this a bright space. One of the garage doors opens to a beer garden.

Inside & out there are long communal tables. The serving station and kitchen are against the far wall. Copper & stainless brewing kettles are on display behind glass.

15 beers on tap including a cask offering. They also have house made sodas, and a small wine and spirits list.

The food menu is small with a burger, wings, soup salad and a few other options. My pub Bahn Mi was fantastic!

The beers I had were very good and I thought good takes on classic styles (I had an APA, ESB and a porter). They offered sours, Weiss, etc. You will find something good. They offer flights & will give samples. They do have lower prices for happy hour but the beers are well priced to begin with.

The service was friendly and as expected beer savvy.

Vibe: slick, lots of wood/metal, well-illustrated beer chalkboard menu, big glass wall looking into the brewing area, lots of natural light. Outdoor seating with awnings for shade and lots of plants- charming!

Beer: great selection, both in number and variety. What's more is that all four I tasted (out of a possible mid-teen selection) were really, really good, over a variety of styles. Even had something my mom, who is very picky, liked a lot. Flights didn't seem to be an option, neither did getting a growler.
*Wine and spirits also available.

Food: really good. There was a pretty impressive menu for such a small (maybe 10'x10') kitchen and one cook. The dishes and ingredients used show that they took some time on the food end of things as well as the beer. Mid-end gastropub level.

Service: could use some work. Or rather, service system could use improvement. Everyone was very friendly and helpful (the guy behind the counter picked out a beer my aforementioned picky mom liked on the first try with only a vague description of what she liked), but the whole method of ordering at a cash register and semi-waiting on was cumbersome. When people are drinking they want to open a tab, not pay as they go (maybe that was possible, but I did not get that vibe, nor was offered to do so, nor did we have an actual waiter). Also, turns out that undersized/understaffed kitchen was a problem after all: our three burgers took an honest half hour to bring out, in maybe a one third-full space. I hate being that guy, but I almost had to ask if our food was coming- no one came by to reassure us, either.

-Some free swag (stickers, bumper stickers, postcards), that's cool.

All in all a really good experience, but damn does having low blood sugar for 30 minutes make it difficult to realize that. If the beer hadn't been as good as it was this would have been a completely different experience. I also wonder how going only for beer would have been if I had to pay as I went. Anyway, positives are friendly and knowledgeable staff, very inviting, comfortable, and happy space, yummy food... and damn good beer!!

Nice little back alley pub with a great selection of beers. I had a great experience there and was pleasantly surprised by most of the beers

Been here twice now and have been impressed each time. Good brews on tap, stellar service, good indoor and outdoor vibes and mucho tasty food. A little pricey, but hey thats pretty basic these days with brewery chow. Sweeet fries and the rest of the stuff on the menu had me salivating. Best perk was that I could bring my pooch to the outdoor patio! Heck ya.

Next to the drinkery/eatery is their brewers shop...loaded with all the necessities and wants of any bevvy maker. Picked up a few recipes/ingredients for a friend for an xmas gift. Nice guys, good service, sweet selection, decent prices.

I noticed there is a Deli Brewery located elsewhere in the city... advertised tasty pastrami-sammitches to go along with a fresh pour. Definitely planning on making a trip there soon.

Despite all the bennys of the locale, the brews do not stand out in any particular way. Still, they are as good as most and easily drinkable. Doesnt have me itching for more, though. Its more about the vibe, tasty chow and a decent place to drink with some buddies.
