Poured from 16oz can into glass. Canning date is stamped on can bottom as '08/23/18'.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. One finger of white head upon pouring recedes to a couple of islands and a thin ring. Leaves behind some thick patterns of lacing.
Aroma is juicy and fruity - pineapple is there.
Taste is sweet, juicy, with pineapple and mango. Very low bitterness. Lactose presence is there but contributing, rather than dominating.
Mouth feel is medium to thick. Good carbonation.
Okay lactose milkshake IPA with pineapple. More of a warm weather beer than a fall or winter selection. Seems well balanced and full of flavor. I am not sure on the New England IPA for style selection (too sweet, not fruity dominant). More of an IPA with milk shake influences.

Hazy orange juice color.
Lots of vanilla and lactose flavor. Creamy and smooth. Big, lingering pineapple flavor. Earthy, floral hops.
Very easy drinking. Great flavors.

Pours a hazy overripe pineapple yellow with a huge white head that recedes slowly and leaves thick lacing. Aroma is faint pineapple and pine. Flavor follows the nose with more pine bitterness than pineapple sweetness. Lactose adds creaminess. Feel is thick and chewy. Overall another decent beer from Modist with a price point that's too high.

Harsh lingering bitterness hurts what is otherwise a fantastic representation of the style.
