Collaboration with Dangerous Man Brewing Co.
Modist and Dangerous Man Brewing Co are proud to introduce Lemongrab: a Pink Lemonade IPA! It’s a refreshing, thirst-quenching session IPA brewed with a grip of lemons and raspberries and dry hopped with Lemondrop hops to make for a new take on a summertime throwback.
And while this may be our first collaboration with DM, we’ve actually been collaborationing for forever. Since we opened our doors last year, Modist and DM have kinda shared everything. We share ingredients, supplies, and equipment. And this has always made sense because we also share a history. Keigan, our Co-Founder and Head Brewer, was with Rob and Sarah and the DM crew when they first opened their doors. For years they put their brains together to brew unparalleled beer and form an unbreakable bond.

a cool can of beer, and although it tastes like its starting to fade a little bit, i thought it was a neat something different and a very drinkable offering. like a raspberry lemonade ipa, brewed with real lemons and raspberries, it has a little haze and a soft pink color to it, lots and lots of big bubbles too and an airy soda looking head on it. smells fruity before hoppy, although the lemons sort of take me both ways on this, highlighting the obvious lemon in the lemondrop hops, which love, but think this is only a decent showcase of with all the fruit too, and also highlighting the raspberry tartness, a cool role played by the lemon indeed. the hops are nice with the fruit, good match found there, and the lightness of the beer overall makes it summery and crushable. not much hop bitterness. very little raspberry sweetness to this, and well behind the lemon in intensity. great carbonation, lots of life here, and even though i can sense the hops falling off a little bit after a few months in the can, this one still has something left to give. a well made beer between two of the shiny pennies of the twin cities burgeoning beer scene!

On tap. Guava pink grapefruit color.
Grapefruit, citrus, fruity, and tropical. Hoppy, but mainly citrus fruit. Pink lemonade definitely shows. Very fun beer to try.

Poured from 16oz can into glass. Bottom of can is stamped for canning date of '08/08/18'.
Fruit punch colored body, like reddish apricot. Cloudy constitution. One finger off white head settles to islands and a thin ring. Left behind are webs of lacing.
Fruity aroma of lemon and raspberry.
Taste has tart lemon and sweet/sour raspberry. Has a little tongue burn but no bitterness.
Medium, slightly sticky mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Tasty and refreshing late summer beer. Described on the can as a "pink lemonade IPA", this does hint toward a tart, sweet lemonade drink. Totally crushable, and big gulps best bring forward the lemonade essence.
