Brewed w/wheat, oats, Sabro, Galaxy and Cryo Simcoe. Green Greens is another exploration of barleyless malt bill that showcases only wheat and oats. Thick and fluffy mouth feel amplify the radical amount of newcomer hop Sabro plus some elusive Galaxy hops, and a double dryhopping of our hand selected Simcoe hops in a cryogenically frozen format.

16 oz can canned 4/1/24 into a nonic pint glass.
L: SRM 2.5 Pours hazy dull gray orange with a cookie-shaped 1/4" white head, lightly carbonated, VG head retention settling to skin and edge foam, medium perforated webbed lacing with light banding.
S: Fruity, herbal, hoppy, green melon, citrus pith.
T: Green melon, melon rind, citrus, pineapple, wheat, a touch of yeast, lemon grass, it is lightly tangy in the finish with some wheat, bread notes and pith in the aftertaste, it has a little bit of a linger. It is comfortably tangy & tart.
F: Lightly brisk, gently pillowy with subtle froth, medium-bodied juicy feel with a medium-long finish that is slightly drying.
O: Wow! What a fresh taste of fruits. A bit like a fruit cocktail. Its beautiful finish expresses dancing rind, wheat, and bread notes. A brilliant blend with identifiable flavors and hidden 7.3% ABV. It is outstanding in its style.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy golden orange color with a good-sized, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled dank with grapefruit, orange and toasted caramel. Sweet tropcial fruit taste with caramel and a piney, dank bitterness.

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely clouded, pale peachy color with a moderate white head. SRM of 7. (4.00)

Aroma: Strong-arms of citrus, lime, green grape, pineapple with his of coconut. Green in tropical and citrusy. (4.25)

Flavor: Strong flavors of grapefruit, lime, green melon and guava. A herbal, pineapple and coconut note lingers underneath. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Finishes dank and juicy in a bit herbal. (4.00)

Compared to Junkyard Jolly Meal 6/2023: Pours darker, hazier, stronger aromas. More lime, guava, green coconut and pineapple flavors. Less lemon and grapefruit citrus. Softer and creamier.

Overall: Better than average DDH IPA from Modist here. Nice showcase of the Galaxy and Sabro, especially the Sabro. Nice Sabro flavors and creamy body, yet light. (Rating: 4.06)

Pours a muddy orange, totally opaque. A thick, fluffy head that laces nicely. The nose is awesome, mango and faintly citrus. Mouthfeel is fluffy, probably from the grain bill. Slightly more carbonated than I expected, but not excessive. A nice bitter backbone follows the fruity first taste. A really nice hazy, I went back out and bought another 4 pack before it disappeared!

Murky, medium light golden orange look. Citrus peel and some fresh grassy notes, as well. Medium body, with a bright tang, of a hop bite. The flavors are some Mandarin orange peel and a touch of malt.

L: A pale near-opaque apricot hue with a three finger dense ivory head settling to a climbing ring and loads of lace on the glass.

S: Bright honeydew, lemon, and lime, on the nose. Pale malt, spirits, confectionary sugar and a small note of soap.

T: Honeydew overpowered by the sourness of lemon-lime candy, with some gin and tonic in there and a wheat undercurrent.

F: I like the thinner clean-citrus and smoothly oated mouthfeel, but it is also a bit sudsy/soapy.

O: The result of this no-barley brew is quite interesting. The wheat and hop profile provide an earthy and citrusy take on the New England IPA. For me, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A well executed oddity.
