Pours clear light gold with a thick white head, spotty lacing. Aroma is faint, cracker grain, a hint of caramel and lemon. Flavor follows the nose, a little bolder than the aroma. Not really getting the oak so much. Feel is light bodied and well carbonated. Overall a decent but not outstanding beer.

From a 16oz can dated 09/04/24, poured into Das Boot.
Clear golden pouring beer. I like how the carbonation rises in the glass upon the toe of the boot. There's a thick 4 finger white head that is very frothy looking and long lasting. There's just a bit of lacing on the glass.
The aroma of this beer has a nice light grain/caramel aroma with a hint of a woody scent that is somewhat earthy.
Taste - The flavor is somewhat light. I get a good cereal grain flavor in this beer. There's an earthy, woody, grassy flavor to this beer. There's a slight, and pleasing bit of bitterness on the backside.
The body is quite bubbly. Clean feeling, Decent fullness.
This is a tasty take on the style.

Had on tap. Much earlier than I would normally abide having oktoberfest biers, but when it isn't normally available in your area the calendar must be compromised. Pour a clear orangey brown with a large white head that leaves sudsy lacing. Smells of white bread with emphasized crust, dough, lemon zest, caramel malt and a kiss of oak in that order of intensity.
Yeast drives the taste with fresh bread taking on sweet leaning malts, dough, lemon essence, caramel malt, and again just a tiny kiss of oak. Feel is smooth and light, here the oak is felt more than detected in the other aspects, lifting the finish, still yeasty more than malty or certainly hoppy.

From a 16oz can:
Appearance: Gold, lots of particles, good head.
Smell: Grassy
Taste: Not getting much oak influence here. Bready sweetness and grassy hops to balance. Medium feel.
Overall: A solid fest beer, I thought the oak aging would show a little more than it did. Nice to see Modist keep experimenting.

16 oz can stamped "Falloutfest" 8/1/23 into a dimple mug.
L: Pours dark gold caramel with a slight haze, a 1/4" soapy eggshell white head, good steady carbo bubbles, excellent creamy head retention, moderately heavy lacing with sheeting and bands.
S: Light caramel malts, a hint of lemon, distant bready notes of dough, lightly fruity, has a very light aroma overall.
T: Subtle citrus zest, caramel malts, a light hint of oak wood but not the nutty type, pine resin, lemon zest, grapefruit. Citrus zest dominates in the lingering finish and is robust.
F: Brisk, medium to medium-light bodied with a smooth and soft center and a medium-length moderately dry finish. Very soft overall.
O: This gorgeous beer has a long zesty linger and a light hint of young oak in the background. Excellent balance of flavors along with a soft mouthfeel. It is outstanding in its style.

16oz can. Canning date stamp looks to be '09/02/22'.
Clearer, between pale gold and deep gold colored body. Two fingers of white head settles back to thin cap. Web patterns of lacing left behind.
Aroma of toasted malts and oak.
Taste is oak fused toasted malt, with some herbal, spicy hops. Malts extend into the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Mostly crisp, clean finish. Very good carbonation.
Has the oak influence which can produce too much bitterness for some, but this is a tasty take on a fest beer

Overall: A very nice and "modest" Oktoberfest beer. Subtle oak and earthy flavors that are a bit dissolved out by the bread malt. I think they intended to keep this malt lighter and mildler to allow the oak and earthy flavors to come through. They do come through a bit, but subtly so with some nutty notes. (Rating: 4.15)

Cloudy, looks great. Smell is light but pleasant. Literally nothing bad I can say about this'n. Bit of oak and bitter on the finish, otherwise it is easy drinking malty goodness with slightly fruity overtones

Crowler. White head with lace. Clear burnt autumn gold.
Toasted malts, biscuit, and caramel. Earthy and spicy hops. Grassy. The oak adds a little sweetness and vanilla/toffee.
This is very enjoyable. Great drinkability. Well done!
