On tap. Tan head. Some lace. Black color.
Thick and viscous. Tons of barrel. Warming bourbon notes. Lots of fudge. Caramel and honey sweetness. Some oak. Cocoa. This tastes like it has adjuncts, but it doesn’t which is crazy. Typical modist sweetness from their stouts. Full bodied, rich. Ends really nice, not cloying. Nice barrel in the finish. Supposedly this was aged in some of the boozehound barrels, but I don’t really pick up on the old fashioned notes. Maybe a faint amount of orange peel, but I wouldn’t have guessed that otherwise.
