Appearance: Pours a nearly completely black color with a moderate tan head. SRM of 23. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong aromas of dark chocolate, milk and lactose sugar, some hints of cinnamon.
Flavor: Strong flavors of dark chocolate,
Feel: Medium-bodied, strong spices and carbonation. Spiciness lingers.
Compared to WarPigs Raze The Dawn 1/2023: Pours similar, stronger head. More dark chocolate, lactose. Less cinnamon and spices.
Overall: Strong flavors of dark chocolate and cinnamon here. Very spicey off the finish. Alright, but kind of abrasive. Not sure I would have it again, but it was decent. (Rating: 3.60)

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of chilies, vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate. Nice spicy taste with vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate and caramel.

16oz can into a nonic pint glass.
L: Pours black w a dark tan 3/4" pock-marked head that goes to a thick skin then to edge foam, no visible carbo, random spotty lacing.
S: Char, roasted caramelized malts, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla.
T: Sweet milk, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, char, darkly toasted roasted malts, a sensation of brown bread, gentle earthy pepper heat in the finish which lingers w some cocoa. Lightly rich w a touch of bitterness. Nice balance.
F: Lightly smooth med-heavy body w a slightly drying fast finish w pepper heat more so in the front of the mouth and lips.
O: A great tasting and fairly easy drinking Stout. No extremes here other than it being sweet. But that's the style. It isn't cloying and there's good bitterness going across it. A brilliant compliment to Mexican cuisine. Very well hidden 8% ABV. It is excellent in its style.

16oz can. No can dating information found, but the blog about this beer was released by Modist on 10/8/2022.
Very dark brown colored body, with a red mahogany back lit edge. Immediate foamer when the can was opened, but poured okay into the glass. Brief large bubble head. No lacing.
Aroma is strong with dark cocoa, with a minor vanilla contribution. Has a hint of cinnamon and some vegetal sense from the peppers.
Taste is sweet (from the milk sugar and vanilla) but challenged by the unsweetened cocoa (chalky). The minimal heat from the peppers arrives late.
Thin mouth feel. Quiet carbonation in the mouth.
This was imbibed at room temperature. Okay overall.
